Thirroul is a NSW suburb in Wollongong LGA, matched to postcode 2515 — also covering Austinmer, Clifton, Coledale and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $835 in 2025, up 7.1% from $780 in 2024. That is about 20% above the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Thirroul recorded 452 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 57.5% from 287 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $950 a week and flats/units at $610. Townhouse bonds sat at $850 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $692; three-bedroom bonds $950. One-bedroom bonds sat at $510 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,250 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $680 and $1,150 a week. Fair Trading recorded 266 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $650 to $835 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Transport regulatory offences were 146 (32% of the total); excluding them, the count is 306. Fare and parking enforcement can move that category independently of neighbourhood property or violent crime.
