Thirlmere is a NSW suburb in Wollondilly LGA, matched to postcode 2572 — also covering Lakesland. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $600 in 2025, up 7.1% from $560 in 2024. That is about 14% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Thirlmere recorded 146 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 1.4% from 144 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $620 a week and flats/units at $410. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $450; three-bedroom bonds $600. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $680 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $450 and $700 a week. Fair Trading recorded 204 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $470 to $600 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 50 and violent-related offences 67. Assault made up the largest published share (35 incidents, 24%). Next was Theft (25). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026.
