Oyster Bay is a NSW suburb in Sutherland LGA, matched to postcode 2225 — also covering Caravan Head. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $990 in 2025, up 8.8% from $910 in 2024. That is about 42% above the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Oyster Bay recorded 64 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 17.9% from 78 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $1,000 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,170 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $800 and $1,212 a week. Fair Trading recorded 40 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $790 to $990 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 27 and violent-related offences 24. Theft made up the largest published share (19 incidents, 30%). Next was Assault (12). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026. Some person-offence categories are not itemised here because suburb geography under-counts them.
