Yagoona is a NSW suburb in Canterbury-Bankstown LGA, matched to postcode 2199 — also covering Yagoona West. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $660 in 2025, up 1.5% from $650 in 2024. That is about 5% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Yagoona recorded 985 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 5.5% from 934 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $775 a week and flats/units at $600. Townhouse bonds sat at $800 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $600; three-bedroom bonds $750. One-bedroom bonds sat at $360 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $950 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $568 and $850 a week. Fair Trading recorded 445 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $450 to $660 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 389 and violent-related offences 317. Theft made up the largest published share (299 incidents, 30%). Next was Assault (169). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
