Salamander Bay recorded 286 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 23.5% from 374 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $720 a week and flats/units at $532. Townhouse bonds sat at $655 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $540; three-bedroom bonds $665. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $760 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $550 and $750 a week. Fair Trading recorded 179 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $480 to $650 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 118 and violent-related offences 99. Theft made up the largest published share (92 incidents, 32%). Next was Assault (53). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
