Rylstone is a NSW suburb in Singleton LGA, matched to postcode 2849 — also covering Bogee, Breakfast Creek, Budden and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $400 in 2025, up 5.3% from $380 in 2024. That is about 42% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Rylstone recorded 46 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, unchanged from 46 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $400 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $360 and $460 a week. Fair Trading recorded 26 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $350 to $400 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 23 and violent-related offences 13. Theft made up the largest published share (13 incidents, 28%). Next was Malicious damage to property (10). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026. Some person-offence categories are not itemised here because suburb geography under-counts them.
