Roselands is a NSW suburb in Canterbury-Bankstown LGA, matched to postcode 2196 — also covering Punchbowl. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $633 in 2025, up 2.1% from $620 in 2024. That is about 9% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Roselands recorded 507 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 0.2% from 508 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $800 a week and flats/units at $550. Townhouse bonds sat at $910 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $550; three-bedroom bonds $785. One-bedroom bonds sat at $495 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $945 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $520 and $791 a week. Fair Trading recorded 950 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $380 to $633 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 278 and violent-related offences 141. Theft made up the largest published share (238 incidents, 47%). Next was Assault (70). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
