Potts Point is a NSW suburb in Sydney LGA, matched to postcode 2011 — also covering Elizabeth Bay, Hmas Kuttabul, Kings Cross and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $695 in 2025, up 2.2% from $680 in 2024. That is close to the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Potts Point recorded 2,276 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 11.2% from 2,564 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $895 a week and flats/units at $695. Townhouse bonds sat at $1,100 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $1,100; three-bedroom bonds $1,500. One-bedroom bonds sat at $650 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,535 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $525 and $925 a week. Fair Trading recorded 2,739 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $500 to $695 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 504 and violent-related offences 355. Transport regulatory offences made up the largest published share (552 incidents, 24%). Next was Theft (434). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
