Myocum is a NSW suburb in Ballina LGA, matched to postcode 2481 — also covering Broken Head, Byron Bay, Ewingsdale and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $950 in 2025, up 5.6% from $900 in 2024. That is about 37% above the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Myocum recorded 39 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 2.6% from 38 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $1,112 a week and flats/units at $718. Townhouse bonds sat at $1,050 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $820; three-bedroom bonds $1,100. One-bedroom bonds sat at $675 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,500 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $720 and $1,315 a week. Fair Trading recorded 566 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $800 to $950 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 21 and violent-related offences 3. Theft made up the largest published share (16 incidents, 41%). Next was Drug offences (7). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
