Lidsdale is a NSW suburb in Blue Mountains LGA, matched to postcode 2790 — also covering Ben Bullen, Blackmans Flat, Bowenfels and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $435 in 2025, up 8.8% from $400 in 2024. That is about 37% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Lidsdale recorded 26 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 3.7% from 27 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $450 a week and flats/units at $302. Townhouse bonds sat at $440 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $370; three-bedroom bonds $450. One-bedroom bonds sat at $270 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $600 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $370 and $500 a week. Fair Trading recorded 414 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $320 to $435 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 18 and violent-related offences 6. Theft made up the largest published share (11 incidents, 42%). Next was Malicious damage to property (7). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
