Eveleigh is a NSW suburb in Sydney LGA, matched to postcode 2015 — also covering Alexandria, Beaconsfield. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $850 in 2025, up 6.2% from $800 in 2024. That is about 22% above the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Eveleigh recorded 167 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 27.7% from 231 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $1,060 a week and flats/units at $800. Townhouse bonds sat at $1,100 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $900; three-bedroom bonds $1,250. One-bedroom bonds sat at $720 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,600 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $720 and $1,000 a week. Fair Trading recorded 1,186 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $580 to $850 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 58 and violent-related offences 13. Drug offences made up the largest published share (75 incidents, 45%). Next was Theft (38). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
