Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Barrack Point recorded 25 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 16.7% from 30 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $670 a week and flats/units at $500. Townhouse bonds sat at $680 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $520; three-bedroom bonds $660. One-bedroom bonds sat at $412 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $800 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $530 and $700 a week. Fair Trading recorded 603 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $450 to $630 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 18 and violent-related offences 6. Theft made up the largest published share (17 incidents, 68%). Next was Intimidation, stalking and harassment (2).
