Barcoongere recorded 53 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 3.9% from 51 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $495 a week and flats/units at $400. Townhouse bonds sat at $510 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $400; three-bedroom bonds $495. One-bedroom bonds sat at $244 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $575 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $380 and $550 a week. Fair Trading recorded 996 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $370 to $470 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 15 and violent-related offences 17. Theft made up the largest published share (13 incidents, 24%). Next was Drug offences (12). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
