Wheeler Heights is a NSW suburb in Northern Beaches LGA, matched to postcode 2097 — also covering Collaroy, Collaroy Beach, Collaroy Plateau and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $900 in 2025, up 9.1% from $825 in 2024. That is about 30% above the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Wheeler Heights recorded 36 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 16.3% from 43 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $1,450 a week and flats/units at $822. Townhouse bonds sat at $980 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $850; three-bedroom bonds $1,298. One-bedroom bonds sat at $610 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,550 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $750 and $1,300 a week. Fair Trading recorded 394 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $675 to $900 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 18 and violent-related offences 11. Theft made up the largest published share (16 incidents, 44%). Next was Assault (5). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
