Vaucluse is a NSW suburb in Waverley LGA, matched to postcode 2030 — also covering Diamond Bay, Dover Heights, Hmas Watson and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $1,100 in 2025, up 4.8% from $1,050 in 2024. That is about 58% above the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Vaucluse recorded 224 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 0.4% from 223 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $2,650 a week and flats/units at $950. Townhouse bonds sat at $1,700 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $950; three-bedroom bonds $1,450. One-bedroom bonds sat at $732 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $2,950 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $890 and $1,972 a week. Fair Trading recorded 418 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $780 to $1,100 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 90 and violent-related offences 62. Theft made up the largest published share (72 incidents, 32%). Next was Assault (30). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
