Valla is a NSW suburb in Bellingen LGA, matched to postcode 2448 — also covering Hyland Park, Nambucca Heads, Valla Beach and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $500 in 2025, up 11.1% from $450 in 2024. That is about 28% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Valla recorded 66 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 17.5% from 80 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $580 a week and flats/units at $391. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $425; three-bedroom bonds $545. One-bedroom bonds sat at $330 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $680 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $380 and $600 a week. Fair Trading recorded 330 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $360 to $500 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 27 and violent-related offences 18. Theft made up the largest published share (23 incidents, 35%). Next was Drug offences (11). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
