Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Tomakin recorded 46 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 20.7% from 58 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $595 a week and flats/units at $395. Townhouse bonds sat at $530 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $450; three-bedroom bonds $580. One-bedroom bonds sat at $300 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $688 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $452 and $650 a week. Fair Trading recorded 250 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $420 to $550 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 24 and violent-related offences 16. Theft made up the largest published share (22 incidents, 48%). Next was Assault (10). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
