The Ponds recorded 268 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 15.0% from 233 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $870 a week and flats/units at $535. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $592; three-bedroom bonds $810. One-bedroom bonds sat at $455 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $880 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $800 and $925 a week. Fair Trading recorded 366 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $690 to $860 a week. Property offences totalled 117 and violent-related offences 116. Theft made up the largest published share (93 incidents, 35%). Next was Assault (58). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026. Some person-offence categories are not itemised here because suburb geography under-counts them.
