Telarah is a NSW suburb in Dungog LGA, matched to postcode 2320 — also covering Aberglasslyn, Allandale, Anambah and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $600 in 2025, up 7.1% from $560 in 2024. That is about 14% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Telarah recorded 277 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 19.7% from 345 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $620 a week and flats/units at $480. Townhouse bonds sat at $595 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $490; three-bedroom bonds $595. One-bedroom bonds sat at $350 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $660 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $520 and $660 a week. Fair Trading recorded 1,328 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $450 to $600 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 100 and violent-related offences 102. Theft made up the largest published share (63 incidents, 23%). Next was Intimidation, stalking and harassment (45). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
