Stanford Merthyr recorded 42 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 35.5% from 31 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $528 a week and flats/units at $430. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $460; three-bedroom bonds $550. One-bedroom bonds sat at $335 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $650 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $450 and $560 a week. Fair Trading recorded 210 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $380 to $500 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 16 and violent-related offences 17. Theft made up the largest published share (13 incidents, 31%). Next was Assault (9). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
