Rosebery is a NSW suburb in Bayside (NSW) LGA, matched to postcode 2018 — also covering Eastlakes. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $950 in 2025, up 2.7% from $925 in 2024. That is about 37% above the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Rosebery recorded 735 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 2.3% from 752 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $1,100 a week and flats/units at $950. Townhouse bonds sat at $1,550 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $1,000; three-bedroom bonds $1,350. One-bedroom bonds sat at $800 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,350 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $780 and $1,150 a week. Fair Trading recorded 2,034 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $560 to $950 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 290 and violent-related offences 109. Against justice procedures made up the largest published share (267 incidents, 36%). Next was Theft (251). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
