Rocky River (Tenterfield) is a NSW suburb in Tenterfield LGA, matched to postcode 2372 — also covering Back Creek, Billyrimba, Black Swamp and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $400 in 2025, unchanged from $400 in 2024. That is about 42% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Rocky River (Tenterfield) recorded 15 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $440 a week and flats/units at $250. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $365; three-bedroom bonds $420. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $480 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $350 and $455 a week. Fair Trading recorded 124 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $300 to $400 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Counts this small swing easily from year to year and should not be read as a trend on their own. Property offences: 8. Violent-related offences: 2. The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026.
