Pottsville recorded 196 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 11.4% from 176 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $900 a week and flats/units at $600. Townhouse bonds sat at $750 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $620; three-bedroom bonds $800. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,100 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $720 and $950 a week. Fair Trading recorded 193 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $600 to $800 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 89 and violent-related offences 66. Theft made up the largest published share (64 incidents, 33%). Next was Assault (28). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
