Porters Retreat is a NSW suburb in Blue Mountains LGA, matched to postcode 2787 — also covering Beloon, Bimlow, Bindook and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $440 in 2025, up 11.4% from $395 in 2024. That is about 37% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Porters Retreat recorded 7 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $450 a week and flats/units at $370. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $360; three-bedroom bonds $445. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $595 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $390 and $525 a week. Fair Trading recorded 105 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $325 to $440 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Counts this small swing easily from year to year and should not be read as a trend on their own. Property offences: 1. Violent-related offences: 1. The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026.
