Pilliga is a NSW suburb in Coonamble LGA, matched to postcode 2388 — also covering Boolcarroll, Cuttabri, Jews Lagoon and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $352 in 2025, up 0.6% from $350 in 2024. That is about 49% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Pilliga recorded 53 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $400 a week and flats/units at $230. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $250; three-bedroom bonds $400. Half of new bonds sat between $250 and $450 a week. Fair Trading recorded 54 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $255 to $352 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 29 and violent-related offences 12. Theft made up the largest published share (22 incidents, 42%). Next was Disorderly conduct (9). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026.
