Pillar Valley is a NSW suburb in Clarence Valley LGA, matched to postcode 2462 — also covering Calliope, Coldstream, Diggers Camp and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $440 in 2025, down 2.2% from $450 in 2024. That is about 37% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Pillar Valley recorded 39 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 4.9% from 41 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $472 a week and flats/units at $410. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $435; three-bedroom bonds $500. Half of new bonds sat between $338 and $495 a week. Fair Trading recorded 47 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $382 to $440 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 14 and violent-related offences 6. Theft made up the largest published share (10 incidents, 26%). Next was Drug offences (7). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026.
