Picnic Point is a NSW suburb in Canterbury-Bankstown LGA, matched to postcode 2213 — also covering East Hills, Panania. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $850 in 2025, up 6.2% from $800 in 2024. That is about 22% above the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Picnic Point recorded 131 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 26.8% from 179 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $890 a week and flats/units at $570. Townhouse bonds sat at $925 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $600; three-bedroom bonds $790. One-bedroom bonds sat at $485 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,000 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $700 and $1,050 a week. Fair Trading recorded 413 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $590 to $850 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 36 and violent-related offences 48. Theft made up the largest published share (31 incidents, 24%). Next was Other offences (24). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
