North Sydney recorded 537 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 3.9% from 559 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $1,180 a week and flats/units at $800. Townhouse bonds sat at $1,210 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $975; three-bedroom bonds $1,350. One-bedroom bonds sat at $700 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,725 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $675 and $1,080 a week. Fair Trading recorded 1,555 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $550 to $822 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 222 and violent-related offences 103. Theft made up the largest published share (195 incidents, 36%). Next was Against justice procedures (85).
