Molong is a NSW suburb in Dubbo LGA, matched to postcode 2866 — also covering Amaroo, Boomey, Cundumbul and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $410 in 2025, up 2.5% from $400 in 2024. That is about 41% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Molong recorded 85 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 19.0% from 105 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $420 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $360; three-bedroom bonds $450. Half of new bonds sat between $360 and $450 a week. Fair Trading recorded 56 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $340 to $410 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 35 and violent-related offences 30. Theft made up the largest published share (27 incidents, 32%). Next was Assault (13). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026.
