Millthorpe is a NSW suburb in Orange LGA, matched to postcode 2798 — also covering Beneree, Byng, Flyers Creek and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $500 in 2025, down 4.8% from $525 in 2024. That is about 28% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Millthorpe recorded 29 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 34.1% from 44 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $500 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $450 and $580 a week. Fair Trading recorded 36 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $405 to $500 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 17 and violent-related offences 8. Theft made up the largest published share (13 incidents, 45%). Next was Assault (4). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026. Some person-offence categories are not itemised here because suburb geography under-counts them.
