New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $535 in 2025, up 7.0% from $500 in 2024. That is about 23% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Macksville recorded 455 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 42.6% from 319 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $550 a week and flats/units at $320. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $450; three-bedroom bonds $550. One-bedroom bonds sat at $320 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $620 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $450 and $600 a week. Fair Trading recorded 136 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $420 to $535 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 175 and violent-related offences 85. Theft made up the largest published share (134 incidents, 30%). Next was Against justice procedures (90). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
