Lake Cargelligo is a NSW suburb in Lachlan LGA, matched to postcode 2672 — also covering Burgooney, Curlew Waters, Murrin Bridge and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $258 in 2025, down 14.0% from $300 in 2024. That is about 63% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Lake Cargelligo recorded 172 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 18.9% from 212 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $450 a week and flats/units at $200. Half of new bonds sat between $190 and $425 a week. Fair Trading recorded 27 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $150 to $258 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 71 and violent-related offences 53. Theft made up the largest published share (55 incidents, 32%). Next was Intimidation, stalking and harassment (24). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026.
