Kew is a NSW suburb in Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA, matched to postcode 2439 — also covering Batar Creek, Black Creek, Bobs Creek and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $570 in 2025, up 25.3% from $455 in 2024. That is about 18% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Kew recorded 83 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 3.8% from 80 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $595 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $650 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $480 and $650 a week. Fair Trading recorded 34 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $435 to $570 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 25 and violent-related offences 32. Intimidation, stalking and harassment made up the largest published share (15 incidents, 18%). Next was Against justice procedures (14). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026.
