Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Haystack recorded 0 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $400 a week and flats/units at $280. Half of new bonds sat between $295 and $455 a week. Fair Trading recorded 35 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $300 to $350 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. A zero count can mean a very small residential footprint or no incidents coded to this suburb name. The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026. Some person-offence categories are not itemised here because suburb geography under-counts them.
