Harden is a NSW suburb in Hilltops LGA, matched to postcode 2587 — also covering Aurville, Beggan Beggan, Cunningar and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $420 in 2025, up 10.5% from $380 in 2024. That is about 40% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Harden recorded 104 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 36.2% from 163 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $430 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $360 and $480 a week. Fair Trading recorded 44 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $278 to $420 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 37 and violent-related offences 33. Theft made up the largest published share (29 incidents, 28%). Next was Assault (14). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026. Some person-offence categories are not itemised here because suburb geography under-counts them.
