Gocup is a NSW suburb in Snowy Valleys LGA, matched to postcode 2720 — also covering Argalong, Blowering, Bogong Peaks Wilderness and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $410 in 2025, up 6.5% from $385 in 2024. That is about 41% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Gocup recorded 3 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $450 a week and flats/units at $320. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $350; three-bedroom bonds $430. One-bedroom bonds sat at $265 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $550 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $340 and $480 a week. Fair Trading recorded 196 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $320 to $410 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Counts this small swing easily from year to year and should not be read as a trend on their own. Property offences: 0. Violent-related offences: 2. The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
