Glen Elgin is a NSW suburb in Armidale LGA, matched to postcode 2370 — also covering Bald Nob, Diehard, Dundee and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $350 in 2025, up 1.4% from $345 in 2024. That is about 50% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Glen Elgin recorded 2 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $380 a week and flats/units at $250. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $300; three-bedroom bonds $380. One-bedroom bonds sat at $240 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $450 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $299 and $400 a week. Fair Trading recorded 209 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $260 to $350 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Counts this small swing easily from year to year and should not be read as a trend on their own. Property offences: 1. Violent-related offences: 1. The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
