Gilgandra recorded 510 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 4.7% from 487 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $370 a week and flats/units at $260. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $300; three-bedroom bonds $380. One-bedroom bonds sat at $215 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $260 and $382 a week. Fair Trading recorded 72 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $232 to $320 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 165 and violent-related offences 155. Theft made up the largest published share (121 incidents, 24%). Next was Against justice procedures (119). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026.
