Forbes is a NSW suburb in Weddin LGA, matched to postcode 2871 — also covering Bandon, Bedgerabong, Bedgerebong and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $400 in 2025, up 5.3% from $380 in 2024. That is about 42% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Forbes recorded 1,255 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 38.8% from 904 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $420 a week and flats/units at $285. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $320; three-bedroom bonds $420. One-bedroom bonds sat at $200 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $500 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $320 and $469 a week. Fair Trading recorded 300 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $300 to $400 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 510 and violent-related offences 267. Theft made up the largest published share (386 incidents, 31%). Next was Against justice procedures (180). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
