Elands is a NSW suburb in Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA, matched to postcode 2429 — also covering Bobin, Boorganna, Bucca Wauka and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $460 in 2025, up 2.2% from $450 in 2024. That is about 34% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Elands recorded 16 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $480 a week and flats/units at $330. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $368; three-bedroom bonds $480. One-bedroom bonds sat at $298 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $595 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $368 and $522 a week. Fair Trading recorded 131 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $360 to $460 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Counts this small swing easily from year to year and should not be read as a trend on their own. Property offences: 3. Violent-related offences: 5. The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
