Coonamble is a NSW suburb in Coonamble LGA, matched to postcode 2829 — also covering Billeroy, Combara, Conimbia and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $280 in 2025, up 6.9% from $262 in 2024. That is about 60% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Coonamble recorded 672 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 11.8% from 762 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $292 a week and flats/units at $225. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $232; three-bedroom bonds $285. Half of new bonds sat between $250 and $300 a week. Fair Trading recorded 51 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $205 to $280 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 210 and violent-related offences 213. Against justice procedures made up the largest published share (134 incidents, 20%). Next was Theft (128). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026.
