Burwood Heights is a NSW suburb in Strathfield LGA, matched to postcode 2136 — also covering Enfield, Strathfield South. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $680 in 2025, unchanged from $680 in 2024. That is close to the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Burwood Heights recorded 25 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 8.7% from 23 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $900 a week and flats/units at $650. Townhouse bonds sat at $930 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $680; three-bedroom bonds $900. One-bedroom bonds sat at $550 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,000 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $580 and $800 a week. Fair Trading recorded 358 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $440 to $680 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 12 and violent-related offences 8. Theft made up the largest published share (12 incidents, 48%). Next was Intimidation, stalking and harassment (4). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
