Brooklet is a NSW suburb in Ballina LGA, matched to postcode 2479 — also covering Bangalow, Binna Burra, Coopers Shoot and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $950 in 2025, up 8.0% from $880 in 2024. That is about 37% above the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Brooklet recorded 6 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $1,000 a week and flats/units at $650. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $720; three-bedroom bonds $975. One-bedroom bonds sat at $575 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $1,275 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $720 and $1,250 a week. Fair Trading recorded 166 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $785 to $950 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Counts this small swing easily from year to year and should not be read as a trend on their own. Property offences: 2. Violent-related offences: 3. The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
