New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $500 in 2025, unchanged from $500 in 2024. That is about 28% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Braidwood recorded 92 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 34.8% from 141 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $500 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $470; three-bedroom bonds $500. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $600 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $458 and $562 a week. Fair Trading recorded 72 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $430 to $500 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 41 and violent-related offences 26. Theft made up the largest published share (30 incidents, 33%). Next was Assault (14). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026.
