Batlow is a NSW suburb in Snowy Valleys LGA, matched to postcode 2730 — also covering Bago, Green Hills, Kunama and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $325 in 2025, down 1.5% from $330 in 2024. That is about 53% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Batlow recorded 58 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, down 40.2% from 97 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $340 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $262 and $362 a week. Fair Trading recorded 14 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $280 to $325 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 14 and violent-related offences 20. Intimidation, stalking and harassment made up the largest published share (10 incidents, 17%). Next was Theft (8). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode. The two windows are not identical: rents are calendar year, recorded crime is the 12 months to March 2026. Some person-offence categories are not itemised here because suburb geography under-counts them.
