Akolele is a NSW suburb in Snowy Monaro LGA, matched to postcode 2546 — also covering Barragga Bay, Beauty Point, Bermagui and nearby localities. New rental bonds in that postcode had a median weekly rent of $500 in 2025, up 6.4% from $470 in 2024. That is about 28% below the NSW median of $695. Bond medians describe new lodgements with Fair Trading, not every current lease in the suburb. Akolele recorded 32 criminal incidents in the 12 months to March 2026, up 14.3% from 28 a year earlier. These are police-recorded incidents, not convictions, and they are not adjusted for how many people live or visit here. House bonds typically leased at $550 a week and flats/units at $425. Townhouse bonds sat at $540 a week. Two-bedroom bonds had a median of $440; three-bedroom bonds $550. One-bedroom bonds sat at $390 a week. Four-bedroom bonds sat at $610 a week. Half of new bonds sat between $420 and $560 a week. Fair Trading recorded 230 new bonds in the postcode in 2025. Over 2021–2025 the postcode median moved from $400 to $500 a week. Because several suburbs share the postcode, the rent charts are a postcode picture, not a street-level one. Property offences totalled 6 and violent-related offences 14. Against justice procedures made up the largest published share (9 incidents, 28%). Next was Assault (7). The crime series is coded to this suburb name; the rent series, where shown, is the whole postcode.
